Oracle October 2025 updates

The October 2025 Oracle EPM Cloud update (version 25.10) marks a key milestone in the modernisation of the platform. Scheduled for 3 October 2025 in test environments and 17 October 2025 in production, this new version introduces both functional innovations and major retirements of legacy components.

A deployment focused on performance and simplification

Oracle continues to optimise its maintenance cycle: from now on, only modified dimensions and artefacts will be reloaded, reducing downtime and the risk of errors during updates. This development confirms the publisher's commitment to streamlining the operational management of cloud environments.

Modernised features in Smart View and EPM Automate

Version 25.10 comes with a new release of Smart View (25.200). It improves the workflow for accessing user variables, simplifies the opening of artefacts in Excel and introduces new VBA options for more granular control over connections.
On the automation side, EPM Automate is enhanced with new commands such as userLoginReport, making it easier to monitor user logins, as well as new REST APIs dedicated to variable management.

Announced end of legacy components

This update confirms the end of support for Forms 1.0, Dashboards 1.0, Infolets and legacy list pages. Administrators must therefore migrate to the more powerful 2.0 versions, which are compatible with Oracle Cloud EPM's new visual standards.
These retirements mark a clear transition towards a more consistent interface and a unified user experience.

Concrete advancements for planning and forecasting

In the Planning module, cash flow forecast management now benefits from an extended projection of up to 100 days for rolling forecasts.
Workforce forecasting also becomes more accurate thanks to a calculation based on the scenario start date, while integration between the Projects, Capital and Financials modules gains in granularity and consistency.

Compatibility and technical prerequisites

Linux and macOS users will need to prepare for the transition to Java 17, now required to run EPM Automate. In addition, the removal of Native mode in Smart View makes the switch to Standard mode permanent.

A further step towards intelligent EPM

With this release, Oracle continues its strategy of unifying and automating performance management. The objective is clear: to provide an environment that is faster, more reliable and more connected to companies' operational reality.
Administrators are encouraged to test the new features now in their test environment before the 17 October production go-live.
