Oracle continues to enhance its EPM platform with a series of new features unveiled in the June 2026 update. Highlights include advances in data integration, new generative artificial intelligence capabilities, improvements to predictive functions and several changes designed to simplify the administration of EPM environments.
These updates will be deployed to test environments starting June 5, 2026, before becoming available in production on June 19.
A direct connection to Oracle Autonomous Database
One of the most significant developments in this release is support for a direct connection between Oracle Cloud EPM and Oracle Autonomous Database.
Until now, organizations had to rely on the Integration Agent to access data stored in this cloud database. With this new capability, Oracle considerably simplifies integration processes by enabling direct data extracts from Autonomous Database.
This development should help reduce the technical complexity of integration projects while facilitating access to the source data used in planning and reporting processes.
New automation capabilities
Oracle is also strengthening the platform’s automation capabilities through several new features in EPM Automate and the REST APIs.
Administrators will notably be able to:
- Define allowlists of domains for sending emails from EPM.
- Access more detailed information about users and their roles.
- selectively import or export certain snapshot artifacts.
- Obtain detailed reports during concurrent load simulations.
The platform also introduces the ability to schedule the execution of Data Maps between multiple applications directly from Job Scheduler. This long-awaited enhancement strengthens the automation of data exchanges without requiring custom development.
Generative artificial intelligence gains ground
Oracle continues to expand the use of generative AI across its EPM offering.
Automatic summarization, comparative analysis and causal analysis capabilities are now available directly in EPM reports. Until now, these capabilities were primarily associated with Narrative Reporting.
This extension enables users to benefit from automated analyses and AI-generated commentary directly in their financial and operational reports.
Another notable new feature is that AI-generated responses can now be translated into different languages through the use of dedicated template files.
More advanced predictive analytics
Oracle is also enhancing its Advanced Predictions module by adding several regression algorithms, including:
- Linear Regression;
- Lasso Regression;
- Ridge Regression.
These models complement the existing approaches and provide greater flexibility for scenarios in which traditional time-series forecasting methods are not suitable.
The platform can also predict multiple accounts or metrics within a single model, thereby simplifying the configuration of predictive analyses.
AI assistants for Fusion users
Organizations using both Oracle Fusion and Oracle EPM can now access new artificial intelligence-based assistants in Task Manager.
These conversational assistants can be used to view task summaries, manage comments, deploy models and generate reports from a chatbot-style interface.
This development is part of Oracle’s broader strategy to integrate generative AI across all its business applications.
Several deadlines to anticipate
The June update also includes several important announcements for administrators.
Oracle notably reminds users that EPM Automate now requires Java 17 or later. Environments running earlier versions will need to be upgraded.
In addition, as of July 2026, generative artificial intelligence features will only be accessible in environments running version 26.04 or later of Cloud EPM.
Finally, Oracle confirms the discontinuation of the Predictive Planning feature in Smart View, which will no longer be available for download.
