EcoVadis and Workiva strengthen corporate carbon reporting

EcoVadis and Workiva are partnering to make corporate carbon reporting more reliable. Integrating the Carbon Data Network into Workiva Carbon is intended to replace generic estimates with verifiable supplier data, facilitate Scope 3 emissions tracking, and centralize ESG, financial and risk data for controls, audits and regulatory requirements.

EcoVadis and Workiva have announced a strategic partnership aimed at improving the management and reliability of corporate carbon data. The announcement was published on May 12, 2026, from Paris and New York.

This collaboration is part of the expansion of EcoVadis’s Carbon Data Network (CDN), an initiative designed to directly connect supplier carbon emissions data to companies’ ESG reporting platforms.

The stated objective is clear: to enable organizations to replace generic emissions estimates with more accurate, verifiable supplier data that can be used in their regulatory and non-financial reporting.

According to Dexter Galvin, Senior Vice President Climate at EcoVadis, data quality is becoming a central issue in accelerating corporate climate strategies and improving the management of Scope 3 emissions, which are often considered the most complex to measure.

Through this integration, data collected via EcoVadis will be directly connected to the Workiva Carbon platform. Companies will therefore be able to centralize their ESG, financial and risk information in a single environment designed to facilitate controls, audits and disclosure requirements.

Workiva also highlights the use of its artificial intelligence capabilities to improve data validation and generate analyses more quickly. For Mandi McReynolds, Chief Sustainability Officer at Workiva, companies now need an integrated approach linking carbon data with financial data in order to meet new regulatory requirements.

The partnership should also simplify collaboration with suppliers by facilitating the collection and sharing of carbon information throughout the supply chain.

This announcement illustrates the rapid evolution of the ESG market, where finance departments and sustainability teams are seeking to consolidate financial and non-financial data in unified platforms capable of producing reliable, auditable reports.
