The new customers of Pigment illustrate the diversity of organizations interested in modern performance management platforms. In a publication dedicated to its October wins, the publisher announces the arrival of 15 new companies, including Groupe SNCF, Cohere, Groupon, Bekaert and Awin.
This new wave of customers brings together organizations from particularly diverse sectors. Rail transport with Groupe SNCF; technology and artificial intelligence with Cohere; retail with Groupon; financial services with Versapay and BriteCap Financial; and industry with Bekaert and Aurubis Bulgaria. The list also includes Awin, Greenhouse, Altana, Pattern, Portside, Ray Therapeutics, vCluster and Prosol.
Beyond the number of wins, this diversity deserves attention. It shows that EPM platforms are no longer of interest solely to the finance departments of large industrial companies or traditional groups. Planning, forecasting and performance management needs can also arise in technology organizations, service companies and businesses operating in complex commercial environments.
A diversity of sectors and company profiles
The companies cited operate in very different fields and have highly varied business models. Some operate in international environments, while others are in sectors where growth, resource management or rapidly changing activity levels are significant challenges.
This variety is a reminder that performance management issues are not limited to any particular sector. Anticipating changes in activity, coordinating data, improving forecast reliability and facilitating decision-making are concerns found across many organizations.
For EPM publishers, this diversity also represents an adaptation challenge: providing environments capable of addressing different business needs while taking each company's specific characteristics into account.
Pigment continues to expand its customer portfolio
With these 15 new wins announced in October, Pigment highlights the growth of its customer portfolio and its ability to attract companies with diverse profiles.
However, in this publication, the publisher does not disclose the nature of the projects undertaken, the functional scopes involved or the solutions deployed for these new customers. It is therefore still too early to draw conclusions about the platform's specific uses within these organizations.
Nevertheless, the announcement provides interesting insight into the evolution of the EPM market: performance planning and management solutions continue to attract interest from companies across very different backgrounds, each facing their own management and anticipation challenges.
