Vena Solutions took advantage of its annual Excelerate Finance Fest 2026 event to unveil several innovations for finance departments. Among the key announcements was the launch of Vena Financial Consolidation, a new solution designed to accelerate financial close processes and enhance data reliability.
Presented as a native Excel solution enhanced by artificial intelligence, this new offering aims to address the ongoing challenges faced by finance teams dealing with consolidation processes that are often manual, complex and prone to errors. The platform supports intercompany eliminations, currency conversion and ownership structure management, while maintaining a governed and traceable environment.
According to Hugh Cumming, finance functions must now be able to rapidly turn reliable data into concrete action. With this in mind, Vena is focusing on reducing what it calls “decision latency”, namely the time between obtaining information and the company's ability to act effectively.
AI integrated into planning processes
Beyond financial consolidation, Vena also announced the general availability of Vena Planning Agent and Vena MCP Server. These tools enable users to interact with financial data through natural language in order to generate forecasts, adjust plans or analyse different scenarios.
The vendor’s approach is to integrate artificial intelligence directly into existing financial workflows while maintaining governance, validation and audit mechanisms. Vena’s MCP Server enables AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot to connect to the company’s data in real time.
Convergence between Excel and Power BI
The company is also continuing to strengthen its relationship with Acterys, which was recently integrated into its ecosystem. Thanks to a unified data layer between Vena and Acterys, organisations will now be able to synchronise financial and operational data between Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
This integration aims to streamline collaboration between finance teams and operational business functions by reducing data silos and information update delays.
A strategy focused on financial orchestration
Through these various announcements, the vendor highlights the challenges of execution speed and data reliability faced by finance departments. The growing integration of artificial intelligence into EPM tools also reflects changing business expectations, as organisations now seek to accelerate their decision-making processes while maintaining a secure governance framework.
