Solver, a specialist in reporting and financial performance management solutions, has published its release notes for August 2025. This update focuses on improving the user experience, particularly in Ad Hoc Reporting and the rule editor, while fixing several issues reported by teams.
Significant improvements to Ad Hoc Reporting
The ad hoc reporting interface benefits from a series of optimisations designed to simplify analysts’ work:
Easier selections: addition of a Select All button, support for multiple selections via Shift+Click, display of the number of selected items and the ability to deselect everything with a single click.
Redesigned filters: wider menus, display of up to 12 periods simultaneously, improved management of period filters and tooltip display of all selected values.
New features: integration of hyperlinks directly into reports, display of the total number of records and an alert banner when the row limit is exceeded.
Greater convenience: ability to open a report without automatic refresh, a more consistent interface and removal of unnecessary buttons.
Improved usability for the rule editor and Data Warehouse
The rule editor now offers the ability to enlarge the SQL area, making writing and reading more comfortable. In addition, the Data Warehouse interface has been standardised, and translations into French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese have been reviewed to ensure smoother international use.
Numerous fixes to enhance reliability
Solver has also introduced a series of fixes to improve the stability of its platform:
Resolution of issues related to filters (periods, null values, searches).
Fixes for export issues (date shifts, special characters, blank rows).
Optimisation of the display of activity cards and configuration menus.
Improvements to the rule editor: error handling, correct removal of parameters, display of missing messages.
