Planful makes it easier to connect NetSuite with FP&A teams

Planful highlights its native integration with Oracle NetSuite to connect ERP data directly to FP&A processes. Built on Suite Analytics Connect and SuiteQL, it reduces manual exports and imports, improves the reliability of data feeding budgets, forecasts and analyses, and accelerates reporting cycles, including in multi-entity environments.

Planful highlights its native integration with Oracle NetSuite to help FP&A teams connect their ERP data more easily to their financial planning and analysis processes.

In many organisations, finance teams continue to rely on manual exports, spreadsheets and data imports to move information between their ERP and performance management tools. These operations can slow reporting cycles and increase the risk of errors or inconsistencies.

With this native integration, Planful aims to streamline data flows between NetSuite and its FP&A platform. The objective is to enable finance teams to work with up-to-date information without relying on repetitive manual tasks.

A direct connection between ERP and FP&A

The integration relies on NetSuite Suite Analytics Connect and SuiteQL technology, enabling Planful to query data stored in NetSuite directly. This approach eliminates the need for file exports or intermediary tools.

FP&A teams can therefore access accounting, transactional and reporting data more easily to support their budgets, forecasts and financial analyses.

According to Planful, this native connection also improves the reliability of the data used in planning processes and reduces the time spent on reconciliations and validations.

Reducing manual tasks to accelerate analysis

One of the key benefits highlighted is the automation of data flows between the two platforms. By eliminating manual imports, finance teams can devote more time to performance analysis and supporting decision-making.

Planful also emphasises that the integration was designed to handle high-volume NetSuite environments, particularly in multi-entity contexts or where transaction volumes are significant.

Ubiquity, a telecommunications company, is cited as an example of the integration in use. According to Planful, the company connected its NetSuite data to the platform in just a few hours.

The company’s FP&A team was then reportedly able to accelerate its budget analyses and improve its reporting cycles, while strengthening financial visibility for management.

A broader trend in financial transformation

This announcement reflects a broader trend in the EPM and FP&A market: bringing ERP systems and financial management platforms closer together to provide more reliable, actionable data in real time.

As finance departments seek greater agility and speed in their analyses, native integrations between ERP systems and FP&A tools are gradually becoming an important lever for modernising financial processes.
