As 2025 draws to a close, Oracle is rolling out the new Oracle EPM 25.11 version, an update rich in functional and technical enhancements. From predictive planning to account reconciliation, this November release focuses on performance, security and the intelligence of financial processes.

Notable enhancements for Account Reconciliation

The first wave of new features in Oracle EPM 25.11 concerns the Account Reconciliation module, with improved automation and enhanced control.
Auto-submit rules are becoming smarter: they run only when all transactions originate from a prior period or have been imported via Data Integration.
Another important change: user profile validation now takes roles into account. If a user is deleted or loses essential rights, the profile is automatically marked as invalid.

Predictive intelligence reaches a new level

On the IPM (Intelligent Performance Management) side, Oracle is introducing greater explainability and precision into its predictive capabilities.
The new Feature Importance panel makes it possible to visualise the influence of each variable on a forecast result, bringing greater transparency to models.
The automated feature engineering and feature selection option improves prediction quality by automatically selecting the most relevant factors.
Also good news: “Dynamic Calc” members can now be used in predictive models, a much-awaited advancement for Planning and FreeForm users.

FreeForm and Consolidation gain flexibility

Users of FreeForm can now enter and adjust data directly on parent members in grids, without using custom scripts. This is a significant enhancement for planners working with complex hierarchical structures.

For Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), the update introduces cell-level security, providing even more granular control over access to sensitive data. Two new EPM Automate commands (exportCellLevelSecurity and importCellLevelSecurity) also make it easier to export and import these settings.

Security and automation: Oracle shifts into high gear

Version 25.11 also focuses on modernising technical tools.
All Cloud instances are migrating to Essbase 21.7.xx, a higher-performing version that is not backward compatible with older environments.
Administrators must also prepare for the mandatory Groovy engine update planned for January 2026, which will introduce stricter validations for security reasons.
Finally, Oracle now encourages the use of OAuth 2.0 instead of Basic Auth in EPM Automate and REST APIs, an essential development to strengthen connection protection.

What about the EPM platform?

Another significant change: the restriction introduced last October regarding external connections via localhost or IP addresses has been lifted.
On the automation side, new commands such as CopyToObjectStorage2 and CopyFromObjectStorage2 make backups and restores in Oracle Object Storage easier.
