Oracle unveils a major update for enterprises with version 11.2.20 of its On-Premise EPM system

Oracle has announced the availability of version *11.2.20* of its On-Premises Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system, a quarterly update that enhances the platform with technical improvements, fixes and new features.
This release, cumulative since 11.2.15, is distributed as an OPatch and can be applied directly to version 11.2.19. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) and Linux x86-64, and includes Windows client installers as well as an update for Oracle Data Relationship Management.
Key new features include updates to Java 8, WebLogic, and Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), as well as the removal of the dependency on Microsoft Visual C++ 2010.
Oracle stresses the importance of consulting the Readme 11.2.20 guide before any installation, as it contains critical information on changes and potential incompatibilities. This update also introduces significant improvements for end users, including support for keyboard shortcut keys to improve accessibility, support for special characters in service account passwords, and the ability to change the WebLogic administrator password.
These additions are designed to simplify use of the platform while strengthening security. Although there is no installation guide specific to this release, Oracle recommends referring to the version 11.2.15 guide for configuration procedures. With this release, Oracle continues to modernise its EPM system, providing organisations with a robust and scalable platform for performance management and financial planning.
