Oracle EPM update

Oracle has announced an exceptional adjustment to its update deployment schedule for Oracle EPM Cloud, marking a temporary pause in its usual monthly cycle. This decision means that functional and technical enhancements will resume from April 2026, with version 26.04, following the absence of releases 26.02 and 26.03.

A structured resumption from April 2026

According to the schedule communicated by the publisher, the Oracle EPM update 26.04 will be deployed according to the following stages:

  • Test environments: 3 April 2026

  • Production environments: 17 April 2026

Oracle specifies that no interim release will be published between 26.01 and 26.04. Consequently, customers do not need to take any specific action regarding the “skip update” mechanisms for versions 26.02 and 26.03, as these versions will simply not be made available.

A specific process for deferring version 26.04

Notably, organisations wishing to defer the application of version 26.04 will not be able to activate a deferral themselves via EPM Automate. Oracle indicates that this process must go through the submission of a Service Request, after which the publisher will carry out the deferral on the relevant environments.

Technical enhancements deferred to version 26.05

The temporary suspension of the monthly cycle also impacts certain technical enhancements, now scheduled for version 26.05. Expected changes include:

  • a Groovy engine update, which may have implications for existing custom rules;

  • the removal of the EPM Automate commands setIPAllowList and getIPAllowList, as well as the REST API associated with managing allowed IP address lists.

These enhancements form part of a broader streamlining of security mechanisms, with increased reliance on the access and network management solutions offered by the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ecosystem.

Communication aimed at reassuring EPM customers

Through this announcement, Oracle primarily aims to clarify the impacts of this exceptional pause, provide visibility into the resumption of deployments, and enable customers to anticipate the necessary adjustments, both operationally and technically.

The Oracle EPM 26.04 update therefore marks a transitional stage before more significant enhancements expected in subsequent versions.
