Lucanet is strengthening its international growth strategy by announcing its official entry into Japan. This new step marks a strengthening of its presence in Asia-Pacific, where the company is already present in Singapore and China. With this launch, Lucanet aims to support Japanese finance departments in their digital transformation by offering its platform dedicated to finance and performance management functions.
A market seeking financial modernisation
Japan represents one of the world's most important markets for multinational companies and groups with complex structures. Yet many organisations continue to rely on fragmented financial systems, local tools and processes that are heavily dependent on spreadsheets.
In a context where reporting, compliance and performance management requirements are becoming more significant, finance departments are seeking solutions capable of centralising data and ensuring better visibility across all their activities.
A platform designed for CFO needs
To address these challenges, Lucanet is deploying its platform for CFOs in Japan. It combines financial consolidation and planning functionalities, as well as Extended Planning and Analysis (xP&A) capabilities, within a multilingual cloud environment.
The vendor particularly highlights several benefits designed to simplify financial operations:
- Out-of-the-box functionalities that limit custom development;
- Rapid implementation to accelerate return on investment;
- Automation of workflows and data controls;
- Support for Japanese and international accounting standards, including IFRS;
- Streamlined integration with existing ERP systems and accounting software through numerous connectors.
The objective is to enable finance teams to reduce manual tasks, improve data quality and devote more time to analysis and decision-making.
A local presence to support Japanese companies
To support its development in the country, Lucanet has appointed Makoto Yabushita as Country Manager Japan. With more than fifteen years of experience in enterprise software and business development, he will be responsible for developing local operations and strengthening relationships with stakeholders in the Japanese financial ecosystem.
The company also plans to establish a local team covering pre-sales, customer support, marketing and accounting expertise. Collaborations with consulting and audit firms have also been announced to support companies in their financial transformation projects.
An ambition driven by cloud and artificial intelligence
For Lucanet, this expansion responds to growing demand from companies for consolidation and planning solutions that are easier to deploy, more standardised and capable of integrating the latest technological innovations.
The company states that it already supports several clients in Japan and now intends to strengthen its commitment to this market by bringing advanced cloud computing and artificial intelligence capabilities to finance departments.
