The Pigment ORG CHART feature now enables you to add dynamic filters to org charts for a clear, focused and personalised view of your organisational structures. This innovation significantly improves how users visualise and leverage HR or structural data in Pigment.
Smarter visualisation with filters
With this new feature, it is now possible to highlight specific profiles based on criteria such as country, job title or hierarchical level, while preserving the integrity of the overall hierarchy. Each filter acts like a magnifying glass, helping to analyse precise subsets of employees within the org chart.
Filters can be used in combination, enabling further refinement of the analysis. For example, displaying only level 2 employees in Spain or Italy makes it possible to focus on strategic segments of the organisation.
Customisable and adaptable filters
One of the key benefits of this innovation lies in the ability to configure default filters. These are applied automatically when the chart opens, ensuring an immediately relevant view for each user. Members can naturally modify or remove these filters as needed, but the system will revert to the default display upon reloading.
How it works in a few steps:
Access your org chart via the “Chart” module.
In the format panel, select Interactions > Add a filter.
Choose the source data to filter (job title, country, etc.).
Set default values to guide the visualisation.
⚠️ The properties used for filtering must be modelled as metrics at the primary level (e.g. employee), rather than as standard dimensions.
Dynamic display: hide irrelevant items
Another new feature is the “Hide filtered items” option. It makes it possible to visually remove from the chart items that do not meet the defined criteria. This feature is only enabled in org charts using groups, with primary data displayed within these groups.
Once enabled, the org chart displays only relevant cards, simplifying interpretation and reducing visual clutter.
