Cube is enhancing its platform with Cube Decks PowerPoint, a new extension that enables Finance teams to integrate visualisations directly into Microsoft PowerPoint. This development aims to simplify the creation of financial presentations while ensuring that the data displayed remains synchronised with the information available in Cube.
Native integration with Microsoft PowerPoint
With Cube Decks, users can insert charts, tables and metrics directly into their PowerPoint slides without relying on exports or screenshots. Visualisations remain connected to Cube data and can be refreshed at any time to reflect the latest information.
The extension is available through Microsoft AppSource and also integrates directly into PowerPoint, enabling users to get started quickly.
Artificial intelligence for reporting
Beyond reusing existing dashboards, Cube Decks enables users to create new charts using artificial intelligence. Users can describe the type of visualisation they want in natural language and then insert it directly into their presentation.
Global filters also make it possible to update multiple charts simultaneously based on a period, scenario or department, simplifying the preparation of financial reports and presentations for executive committees.
Data governance maintained
Cube states that the security rules applied on its platform are retained in PowerPoint. Users only see the data they are authorised to access, while the features for creating and modifying visuals remain restricted to Finance and Administrator profiles.
This approach helps ensure the confidentiality of information while making it easier to share updated presentations.
Towards financial presentations that are always up to date
With Cube Decks PowerPoint, Cube continues to develop its environment dedicated to FP&A by bringing reporting and presentation tools closer together. By reducing manual processes and making it easier to update data, this new extension aims to help Finance teams produce materials more quickly and rely on information that is always synchronised with its data source.
