Cube is enhancing its platform with Cube Decks PowerPoint, a new extension that enables Finance teams to embed visualisations directly in Microsoft PowerPoint. This development aims to simplify the creation of financial presentations while ensuring that the data displayed remains synchronised with the information available in Cube.
Native integration with Microsoft PowerPoint
With Cube Decks, users can insert charts, tables and KPIs directly into their PowerPoint slides without using exports or screenshots. Visualisations remain connected to Cube data and can be refreshed at any time to reflect the latest information.
The extension is available through Microsoft AppSource and also integrates directly into PowerPoint, providing users with a quick and easy setup.
Artificial intelligence for reporting
Beyond reusing existing dashboards, Cube Decks enables users to create new charts using artificial intelligence. Users can describe the desired type of visualisation in natural language and then insert it directly into their presentation.
Global filters also enable multiple charts to be updated simultaneously by period, scenario or department, simplifying the preparation of financial reports and presentations for executive committees.
Data governance maintained
Cube specifies that the security rules applied within its platform are retained in PowerPoint. Users can view only the data they are authorised to access, while visual creation and editing capabilities remain restricted to Finance and Administrator profiles.
This approach ensures the confidentiality of information while making it easier to share up-to-date presentations.
Towards financial presentations that are always up to date
With Cube Decks PowerPoint, Cube continues to develop its FP&A environment by bringing reporting and presentation tools closer together. By limiting manual handling and making data refreshes easier, this new extension aims to help Finance teams produce materials more quickly and rely on information that is always synchronised with its data source.
