The SEAFRIGO Group, a family-owned company specialising in temperature-controlled food logistics and operating across five continents, recently modernised its financial consolidation process with the support of Amelkis Solutions. This transformation halved processing times while enhancing data reliability.
Comprising around fifty legal entities, the Group faced a major challenge: bringing an until-then outsourced consolidation process in-house. The finance department had to recover all information and historical files while structuring a more efficient and autonomous organisation.
The project was led by Anthony Jean, Consolidation and Reporting Director at SEAFRIGO. The objective was twofold: to secure financial data and optimise the time required to produce consolidated financial statements.
Implementing the Amelkis solution made it possible to:
significantly optimise processing times;
structure data flows and consolidation processes;
automate intercompany reconciliation work;
improve the overall efficiency of financial reporting.
According to the Group, this development resulted in a 50% reduction in processing times while maintaining a high level of reliability and control.
Beyond the operational improvement, the project also helped strengthen collaboration between the finance teams and the software provider, with an approach focused on adapting to the Group's specific needs.
This initiative illustrates the current trend among finance departments, which are seeking to bring their consolidation processes in-house and modernise them in order to gain greater autonomy, performance and visibility over their data.
