Anaplan is strengthening its presence in Asia-Pacific with an investment of several million dollars in India. The provider of planning and analytics solutions has announced the opening of its largest global office in Gurugram, together with the company’s first Customer Experience Center in the region.
This expansion by Anaplan marks a new stage in the group’s development strategy in Asia-Pacific. Located in Gurugram, in the state of Haryana, the new site covers approximately 42,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 500 employees.
The aim is to make India a strategic center for Anaplan’s activities, particularly in engineering, product development, customer support, marketing and commercial functions. The teams based in Gurugram are also expected to contribute to the evolution of the platform’s global roadmap.
A Center Dedicated to Customers and AI
The new Customer Experience Center is one of the key elements of this expansion. Anaplan intends to provide executives and companies with an environment where they can directly experience its scenario-based planning technologies and new artificial intelligence capabilities.
The center is intended in particular to showcase applications related to agentic AI, an important area of development for Anaplan. The company is working on a model called “Agentic Enterprise,” in which AI agents can handle certain operations and support decision-making across several business functions, including finance, supply chain, human resources and sales.
This direction reflects the provider’s desire to evolve enterprise planning beyond traditional processes. The aim is in particular to enable organizations to analyze different scenarios and adjust their decisions more quickly in response to market developments.
APAC, a Strategic Region for Anaplan
This expansion comes as Anaplan continues to grow in the region. The company states that Asia-Pacific was its fastest-growing territory in terms of new bookings during the last fiscal year.
Anaplan now has more than 500 employees across nine offices in the region. The company has also strengthened its infrastructure with new data centers in India, Indonesia and Singapore, particularly to address requirements related to local data residency.
The platform is also used by more than 500 customers in the region. These include Bridgestone, Cebu Pacific, Canva, Mitsui Chemicals, Mizuho Bank and Omron Healthcare.
India at the Heart of the Technology Strategy
For Anaplan, the choice of Gurugram also reflects the availability of a substantial pool of talent in engineering and artificial intelligence. The group therefore intends to rely on its Indian teams to accelerate the development of new technological capabilities.
This Anaplan expansion more broadly illustrates the growing importance of Asia-Pacific in the international strategy of providers of planning and performance management solutions. By strengthening its teams and infrastructure in the region, Anaplan is seeking to bring its innovation capabilities closer to its customers while continuing to develop its platform around AI.
The opening of this new site is therefore not merely a real estate operation. It forms part of a strategy aimed at making India a genuine development hub for Anaplan’s planning, analytics and AI technologies.
