Anaplan continues to evolve its connected planning platform. In its November 2025 releases, the vendor is focusing on performance, user experience and the integration of forecasting directly into core business processes. Here is an overview of the key developments... and what is coming next.
Enhanced intelligence for more flexible forecasting
In terms of forecasting intelligence, Anaplan is significantly enhancing its Forecaster module. Users now benefit from extended support for sublists, custom time formats and improved data residency management, with the opening of a new AWS region (AE1). Another welcome development: weekly data is no longer required to start on Mondays, providing teams with greater flexibility.
Polaris and Anaplan XL: performance and clarity at the heart of the experience
The Polaris platform is taking a further step forward with the introduction of on-demand calculation. This approach makes it possible to defer certain resource-intensive operations until the data is actually viewed, improving model opening times and overall responsiveness.
For Anaplan XL (Excel), version 2511 brings multiple optimisations: improved query visibility, enhanced menus, more intuitive navigation options and more readable “freeform” reports thanks to repeated labels in multi-dimensional analyses. A notable improvement in convenience for advanced users.
Applications that are faster to deploy and better orchestrated
Anaplan is also strengthening its application offering. Saved Views can now be used as data sources, providing greater precision in integrations. In addition, the Application Framework is becoming available to all customers, offering a structured framework for deploying and managing applications more quickly.
On the data side, Anaplan Data Orchestrator (ADO) is gaining new preview capabilities: advanced filtering, multi-column sorting, CSV export and improved dataset readability, with up to 10,000 rows displayed.
A user experience designed for analysis and mobility
The enterprise experience is also progressing. Hierarchical charts are becoming clearer thanks to pagination, while Polaris users can now nest more than three dimensions on the same axis, paving the way for deeper analysis.
On mobile, Anaplan is introducing rich text formatting in editable grids, enabling users to add comments and highlights directly from their smartphones or tablets.
Forecasting integrated directly into business processes
Among the most anticipated developments, Anaplan is preparing the ability to launch forecasts directly from UX pages via configurable buttons. The objective is to integrate forecasting where decisions are made, without disrupting the user experience.
Another key advancement is the ability to test and deploy forecasting models securely by separating configuration and production environments. An approach that reduces risk and accelerates implementation cycles.
A roadmap focused on agility
With these November 2025 updates, Anaplan confirms its ambition to offer an increasingly high-performing, intuitive platform aligned with the needs of finance and operations teams. The developments announced for the future, while non-contractual, outline a clear direction: making planning smoother, more integrated and closer to business needs.
