Vena strengthens its AI with a new agent dedicated to financial analysis.

Vena Solutions launches Vena Analytics Agent in open beta, an AI agent connected to financial data to analyze variances, trends and performance while explaining its reasoning. The company is also expanding Vena MCP to make this data available to more tools, while preserving access controls and governance.

Vena Analytics Agent

Vena Solutions is continuing to develop its artificial intelligence capabilities with two new enhancements: the launch of Vena Analytics Agent in open beta and the expansion of Vena MCP capabilities. The company aims to make financial data analysis easier and broaden its use across enterprises, while preserving the controls and reliability required for decision-making.

An AI agent for deeper financial analysis

With Vena Analytics Agent, the company is introducing an agent designed to support finance teams in their analytical work. Directly connected to Vena’s financial data model, it can examine variances between actual results and forecasts, compare performance, identify trends and answer questions that require multiple reasoning steps.

The tool also takes the organization’s context into account, including its processes, structure and the preferences communicated by its users. This approach is intended to make analyses more relevant and better suited to the realities of each enterprise.

Transparency is another important focus of this development. The agent can explain the logic it followed, flag missing information and request clarification when the context is insufficient to produce a reliable enough answer. Users can also review the underlying elements, correct certain assumptions and rerun an analysis before relying on its conclusions.

The objective is to reduce the time spent on repetitive analytical tasks and enable finance professionals to focus more on interpreting results and making strategic decisions.

Making financial data accessible to more AI tools

At the same time, Vena is expanding the capabilities of its MCP environment to facilitate the use of its financial and operational data by compatible artificial intelligence tools. This development should enable different teams across the enterprise to leverage the data available in Vena beyond the finance function alone.

Potential use cases include automating recurring analyses, scheduling alerts and integrating data into work environments such as Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work. Users will also be able to leverage this information to produce reports, dashboards and interactive web pages.

However, this openness comes with governance requirements. Vena states that existing access permissions and controls must continue to apply when data is used by external tools. The challenge is to facilitate AI use cases without losing control over financial and operational information.

Balancing automation, reliability and control

Through these two developments, Vena highlights an important distinction: while artificial intelligence reasoning may involve some uncertainty, the financial calculations underlying decisions must remain consistent and reproducible.

This approach builds on the acquisition of Morpheo AI. The company’s technology is expected to help Vena prepare, structure and enrich often-dispersed enterprise data, in order to provide AI with more complete context. Over time, accumulating knowledge about each organization’s activities and processes could improve the relevance of analyses and recommendations.

For finance functions, the value therefore lies not only in automating certain tasks. It also involves making analyses more accessible, reducing the time between identifying an issue and making a decision, and preserving teams’ ability to verify the results produced.

A new stage in Vena’s AI strategy

With Vena Analytics Agent and the evolution of Vena MCP, the company is continuing its focus on artificial intelligence integrated into financial planning and performance management processes. This strategy seeks to bring data, analysis and decision-making closer together in an environment where control requirements remain central.

Vena Analytics Agent is available in open beta, while general availability is scheduled for October 2026, according to the company’s announcement.
