Unit4 announces the acquisition of Napta, a French platform specialising in resource and skills management for professional services firms. Announced on 6 October 2026, the transaction aims to bring together talent management, capacity planning, projects and financial data within a single environment.
Connecting resources with projects
Founded in Paris, Napta supports consulting and audit firms, as well as IT and engineering companies. Its platform combines skills management, staffing, capacity planning and project tracking. It also includes AI-assisted matching features to identify the profiles best suited to project requirements.
For professional services firms, the challenge is clear: having the right skills, at the right time and on the right projects. Resource management is therefore closely linked to the ability to deliver projects, improve team utilisation and protect margins.
Bringing operational and financial data together
Through this acquisition, Unit4 aims to connect Napta’s skills and capacity data with its own data relating to projects, finances and employees. The objective is to enable organisations to plan their projects and teams while gaining a more direct view of the financial consequences of their decisions.
This approach reflects a broader evolution in the management of professional services firms: staffing and capacity decisions are no longer solely HR or operational matters. They also have a direct impact on revenue, costs, project profitability and financial forecasts.
Napta retains its identity
The acquisition does not involve any immediate change to the brand or management. Napta will continue to operate under its own name and with its current team. Its co-founder and CEO, Arnaud Caldichoury, will remain at the helm, while its three co-founders will continue their involvement in the business.
Napta currently has more than 100 corporate customers and operates in 70 countries. Unit4 also plans to continue integrations with leading ERP, PSA and HCM systems in order to maintain an open approach for organisations using different technology solutions.
A new step in professional services management
For Unit4, the transaction is part of a strategy to strengthen its presence in the professional services market and expand its offering around ERP, FP&A, human resources and artificial intelligence.
The acquisition of Napta primarily illustrates a broader trend: in organisations where performance depends directly on the skills deployed on projects, financial planning benefits from being connected to operational realities. By bringing this data together, Unit4 aims to give organisations a more comprehensive view of their resources, projects and performance.
