Native pie charts for more intuitive dashboards
Following the addition of bar, line and waterfall charts, Jedox now introduces Pie Charts in Canvas. This new visualisation makes it possible to represent data distribution clearly and readably, while enhancing the visual impact of dashboards.
Users can create and customise their charts in just a few clicks: choose between a Pie or Donut presentation, display labels as percentages or absolute values, customise colours, legends and fonts, and adjust the angle and explosion of slices. The addition of a drilldown function also makes it possible to explore data in depth without overloading the visualisation.
With these options, Jedox enhances the usability of its dashboards and delivers a seamless, modern data storytelling experience.
Named Ranges: a more flexible data source for Canvas
Another notable advancement in version 2025.1 is the integration of Named Ranges as a data source for Dynatables and charts in Canvas. Users can now link their visuals to named ranges defined in a spreadsheet or globally across the model. This approach simplifies report maintenance and improves the consistency of the data used in analyses.
If a named range is renamed or deleted, Jedox automatically displays a clear error message (“Invalid connection” or “Data source lost”), ensuring dashboard transparency and reliability. This flexibility paves the way for more dynamic configurations, without systematically relying on traditional OLAP cubes.
These October 2025 updates confirm Jedox’s commitment to making planning and reporting ever more visual, interactive and accessible.
