Anaplan closes out 2025 with a series of structural enhancements that strengthen modelling power, user experience and data control. The Anaplan updates introduced in December reflect a commitment to enabling organisations to plan at scale, with greater clarity, flexibility and ease of use.
Polaris: richer models, without compromising clarity
Among the most significant updates, Polaris reaches a new milestone by enabling the nesting of up to eight dimensions on the same axis (rows or columns) in grids, both in the modelling environment and in the user experience.
In practical terms, page builders and business users can now analyse complex scenarios in a single view. For example, it is possible to plan payroll by position, location, level, role and business unit, without multiplying screens or fragmenting analysis. This enhancement reinforces Polaris’s ambition: to manage high volumes and levels of granularity while remaining accessible to operational teams.
Anaplan Mobile: a more expressive and collaborative experience
Another notable enhancement in these updates: enhanced text input in Anaplan Mobile. Users can now apply advanced formatting in editable fields in grids and input cards.
Bold, italics, underlining, bulleted or numbered lists, text alignment… these seemingly simple features greatly improve the clarity of comments and facilitate collaboration, particularly for managers and decision-makers on the move.
Data Orchestrator: greater visibility and control over data
The Anaplan updates also concern the data layer, with significant improvements to Data Preview in Anaplan Data Orchestrator. Source and derived datasets can now be previewed directly from the inventory.
Users have new options to filter, sort and analyse data, view up to 10,000 rows, check the transformations applied and export results in CSV format. This increased transparency facilitates quality controls, secures data flows and builds confidence in the figures used for planning and performance management.
A consistent vision of enterprise planning
Through these enhancements, Anaplan confirms a clear strategy: to offer a planning platform capable of reconciling business complexity, usability and data governance. The Anaplan updates of December 2025 are not merely technical adjustments; they address real-world use cases and closely meet the expectations of finance, HR and operations teams.
An end to the year that lays the groundwork for increasingly integrated and high-performing planning cycles in 2026.
