McCarthy Holdings, Inc., one of the largest employee-owned construction groups in the United States, has selected Anaplan to modernise and unify its financial and operational planning processes. The objective: to support the group’s growth through greater visibility, enhanced collaboration and advanced AI-powered scenario planning capabilities.
Active on numerous projects across the country and with approximately 8,000 employees, McCarthy is facing increasing complexity in managing its operations, particularly in workforce planning, cost forecasting and capital allocation. The group therefore identified the need to move beyond fragmented approaches, often based on spreadsheets, in favour of an integrated platform capable of providing real-time information to finance, operations and HR teams.
The selected solution will enable McCarthy to better align its financial forecasts with its workforce requirements and operational constraints, while shortening budgeting and forecasting cycles. By leveraging a collaborative, scalable platform, the company aims to improve the reliability of its decisions, particularly on complex construction projects where cost and resource management are critical.
“As an employee-owned company, our human capital is essential. Aligning available skills with our financial projections is a key driver of our growth,” says Lisa Sanders, Vice President of HR Operations at McCarthy. “Scenario planning enables us to gain agility and confidence in our decisions, so that we can assemble the right teams at the right time for our clients.”
Key expected benefits include real-time workforce visibility, improved predictability of project costs, and optimised investment planning aligned with the group’s strategic priorities.
