Anaplan has announced the opening of a new data center hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Singapore. This new location is part of the group’s global expansion strategy and is intended to better support businesses in Southeast Asia with their digital transformation projects.
With this new site, Anaplan is strengthening its global infrastructure while addressing growing requirements for performance, security and regulatory compliance. The data center will enable faster data processing while ensuring compliance with local data sovereignty rules, a key issue for highly regulated sectors such as finance and the public sector.
According to Anaplan, this presence in Southeast Asia is intended to provide local businesses with direct access to its advanced real-time planning capabilities, powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. Organisations will thus be able to improve the coordination of their financial, HR, sales and supply chain planning processes, while accelerating decision-making.
AWS, for its part, highlights the importance of this collaboration for businesses in the region. “The launch of Anaplan on AWS in Singapore is a strategic milestone and reflects our shared commitment to customers across the Asia-Pacific region,” says Carol Potts, General Manager for North America ISV Sales at AWS, referring to the opportunity for organisations to evolve their planning processes securely and at scale.
Anaplan also highlights the availability of its new Anaplan Intelligence features, including business-focused AI agents. These tools are designed to automate certain analyses, provide predictive scenarios and support teams in their operational and strategic decisions.
“Data sovereignty is a strong requirement for our customers. This new data center ensures that their data remains hosted in Singapore, in compliance with local regulations,” explains Amit Bagga, Managing Director APAC at Anaplan. He adds that this infrastructure will enable regional businesses to fully leverage AI to unify and optimise their planning processes.
This opening is part of the $500 million investment plan announced by Anaplan to accelerate innovation and expand its geographic coverage. The group has already deployed several data centers in the Asia-Pacific region, notably in India, Indonesia and Australia, confirming its ambition to position itself as a key player in enterprise planning worldwide.
