Anaplan has announced the launch of a new generation of artificial intelligence agents integrated into its enterprise planning platform. This initiative is part of the group’s strategy to strengthen automation, advanced analytics and AI-assisted decision-making within operational departments.
An approach focused on specialised AI agents
Named Anaplan Intelligence, this new offering is based on intelligent agents designed to support the company’s key functions: finance, supply chain, sales and workforce management.
The aim is to go beyond traditional planning by enabling:
Automated analysis of complex scenarios
Proactive detection of risks and opportunities
Generation of operational recommendations
Assisted execution of decisions within a governed framework
These agents leverage the existing planning models in the Anaplan platform to deliver contextualised, actionable analyses in real time.
Focus on the AI Supply Chain Analyst
Among the new features is the AI Supply Chain Analyst, designed to help logistics and operations teams anticipate disruptions and optimise their decisions.
Its key capabilities include:
Modelling the cascading impacts of unforeseen events (demand fluctuations, port delays, weather conditions, rising transport costs, etc.)
Analysis of multiple scenarios simultaneously
Formulation of proactive recommendations
Identification of bottlenecks in the supply chain
The tool is intended to help companies move from a reactive approach to predictive, forward-looking supply chain management.
Other business-focused agents announced
In addition to the Supply Chain Analyst, Anaplan presented several other agents:
Finance Analyst: monitoring financial performance, analysing variances and automating certain closing processes.
Sales Analyst: assessing revenue risks and recommending sales actions.
Workforce Analyst: analysing the impacts of human resources decisions and workforce planning.
CoModeler: an intelligent assistant that can help create and optimise planning models through natural-language instructions.
These agents are designed to operate within a secure, governed framework, using the data and internal models already structured in the platform.
Availability timeline
The official announcement of this new suite of AI agents was made on 9 December 2025.
Some features were made available in a limited release at the end of 2025, with a broader rollout planned during the first quarter of 2026.
