Board has announced the addition of a new customer to its ecosystem: Alimak Group AB. The Swedish industrial company has chosen the Board platform to modernise its financial planning and performance analysis (FP&A) processes across the group.
Founded in Sweden and operating in more than 120 countries, Alimak Group specialises in vertical access and working-at-height solutions. The company designs, manufactures and maintains equipment for the construction, industrial and infrastructure sectors in particular, with a focus on sustainable, high-value-added solutions.
Like many international organisations, Alimak Group had historically relied on spreadsheets to manage its financial planning activities. While this approach offers a degree of flexibility, it can also result in longer planning cycles, limit collaboration between the group’s various entities and increase the risk of data errors.
In this context, the adoption of Board International's platform is intended to structure and streamline FP&A processes. The aim is to centralise planning data, foster collaboration between finance and operational teams, and improve the speed of analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Through this development, Alimak Group also intends to strengthen the consistency of its planning processes internationally, while providing its teams with better visibility into the group's performance and financial outlook.
This initiative is part of a broader trend among finance departments, where modernising planning and performance management tools is becoming an essential lever for supporting organisational transformation and enabling faster, better-informed decisions.
